CUSTOMER PRE-ORDERS
• The hatching eggs are for PRE-ORDER, and we ship based on availability from the flock, factor in the weather, and order number. Your order does not ship immediately. As Always - hatching eggs are a risk to ship due to handling methods - Katie does her best to securely package! The majority of eggs are shipped MARCH - JUNE… but we ship until SEPTEMBER.
Packaging, Shipping, Farm Pickup
• We have been shipping eggs since 2019. We have now pivoted from foam to air pockets (thank you Opry Hill!) We ship March- September - once we factor in the weather. Our eggs are saved fresh for a few days, packed securely in individual air pockets - double boxed - for maximum safe travel and impact. We do our very best to package the eggs, which are shipped on Mondays - Tuesdays and are shipped 2-3 DAY UPS - directly to your home. We continue to include a hatch guide in the box + as always, extra eggs!
WE EXCLUSIVELY SHIPPED USPS SINCE 2019. IN 2026 WE STARTED OFFERING USPS OR UPS TO CUSTOMERS - UPS HAS BEEN THE BETTER OPTION - YES WITH A FEW MISTAKES ALONG THE WAY - ALWAYS A RISK TO SHIP EGGS!
• UPS IS THE SHIP OPTION AT CHECKOUT. IF YOU PREFER USPS JUST EMAIL ME OPENGATEPOULTRY@GMAIL.COM FOLLOWING THE ORDER, NO PROBLEM.
• Three delivery options to choose from at checkout: Up to one dozen + double boxed is $40.00. 1.5 - 2 dozen is $60.00 requiring additional materials - double boxed. Local Egg Pickup by Appointment.
• When it’s your turn, your eggs are boxed up, expect an order fulfillment email with tracking information from Open Gate Poultry.

We have been a part of the National Poultry Improvement Plan since 2019. With this certification we can offer hatching eggs nationwide. We are monitored by the Massachusetts Department of Ag and our breeding flock is NPIP H5/H7 AI Clean (tested 2x/year) and Pullorum-Typhoid Clean.
